Common questions

Where do I get API keys?

• OpenAI — platform.openai.com → API keys
• Anthropic — console.anthropic.com → API keys (required: it powers refine & consolidation)
• Google Gemini — aistudio.google.com → Get API key
• xAI Grok — console.x.ai
• Perplexity — perplexity.ai → Settings → API

Paste each key in Quorum's onboarding (⌘3 anytime). Keys are validated with one inexpensive call and stored in your macOS Keychain. Any subset works — connect what you have.

How much does a run cost?

Quick runs are typically a few cents across the whole panel. Deep Research runs typically land between $2–7 across five providers, billed by the providers to your accounts. Quorum shows an estimate before every run, live spend during, and exact totals after.

A provider lane says "fix key"

That provider rejected your key (expired, revoked, or out of credit). Open Providers (⌘3), paste a fresh key, and re-run. The rest of the panel is unaffected.

What happens if I quit mid-run?

Deep-research jobs run on the providers' servers. Quorum re-attaches to them on relaunch and finishes the report. Answers already received are saved immediately.

Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple — request refunds via reportaproblem.apple.com. Provider API charges are billed by the providers under their terms.
